IMIS Hellas S.A. is a technology oriented company focusing on AIS technology (Automatic Identification System) and Public Information Systems.
IMIS has developed a range of applications fully compliant and in most cases exceeding international regulations for AIS networks (ΙΜΟ, IALA Ε.Ε). IMIS Hellas S.A. was formed in 2007 to accommodate the needs of the eastern Mediterranean market in collaboration with the main purpose of building and operating a private AIS network in the region.
Today, IMIS Hellas is one of the few companies in the world that owns a private wide coverage AIS network, providing services to its clients through the web.
The services provided are a series of high-end products satisfying the needs of all costumers, from the simplest Shipfriend to the largest Maritime Organization.
The technology is delivered to the user through the MariwebTM platform, which is the company’s flagship product.
In the public information sector, IMIS Hellas has created DigiView, a digital signage solution, incorporating all the characteristics of this new and innovative medium, in combination with the technical knowledge of content provision.
IMIS Hellas, situated in Athens, has highly qualified staff and a network of associates which covers all of Greece.
Furthermore, a close professional relationship with IMIS Global is maintained, ensuring a constant feed of global trends and developments, as well as technical and research information from the IMIS labs in South Africa and the U.K.
The People
IMIS Hellas was created and run by a small and close team, with the helping support of the IMIS group.
President of the board is Nodas Paschalidis, Vice President Takis Tsigourakos and CEO Sergio Georgiou.
The company officers have a long and successful career in the IT sector, with a highlight in the maritime IT industry, as well as a healthy amount of projects under their belts.
The company personnel is trained and experienced in marine AIS systems as well as information systems, while the technical department consists of 4 H/W and S/W engineers post graduate level.
The company is also cooperating with a vast network of specialized partners all over Greece for the installation, operation and support of projects and systems.
