AIS Hardware

SeaTraQ B500 is a certified AIS class B transponder unit (ΙΜΟ IEC Standards, ΕΕΤΤ).
Class B units generally address the needs of NON SOLAS vessels and can be installed on any vessel type regardless of size. The SeaTraQ B500 provides the following functionalities:

• Identification of the unit/vessel from other vessels carrying AIS Class A or B
• When connected to the vessel plotter, the captain can “see” other vessels that carry AIS Class A & B units.
• Distress button in case of emergency. The distress signal is received by any other AIS unit in the coverage area, be it a Base Station, class A or class B
• Fleet Monitoring in collaboration with MariwebTM

With the use of MariwebTM it is possible to monitor and manage SeaTraQ B500 carrying vessels from the office. This is an ideal solution for vessel owners requiring to know their vessel is when they are not on board (for example if its on hire or in the case of theft).
